A wonderful video presented by Azim Premji School Barmer team on how the NEP2020 New Education Policy is demonstrated in the classroom by this wonderful project of collaboration between folk musicians of Barmer with school students. Santosh, along with the team captured the project very well. I'm so happy to see Shiva anna, Azhar, Malavika in the back drops. A lot of students whom I remember seeing them a couple of years ago are shining with full confidence, articulating their thoughts with so much of clarity. Happy to see the curious, creative minds virtually again. Rajasthan music is more than what one perceives through the stereotypes. It's so nice to see how diverse and vivid are the dialects, styles of music,as presented in the video with impressive visuals. It's amazing to see women from the community demonstrate to the students on local music and engaging with them. When we bring the local community into the classrooms who are rich with various types of knowledge, students' get a chance to appreciate and value different forms of knowledge. It also helps to appreciate one's own language, music and boost their self esteem which reflects in other learning as well. The extensive project is very well organised and captured in the video. Brilliant work and great efforts Santosh! Keep it up. Cheers and congratulations Azhar and the whole team for demonstrating great learning culture in the classrooms by bringing community together.
